The Mobile Internet facility
for seminars, exhibitions,
conferences and festivals
The standard NetMobile service deployed a portable network of PC workstations, with full multimedia services and access to the Internet. A constructed furniture set with accompanying engineers and trainers or Internet guides was also supplied.
The set was a circular work-surface,
six metres in diameter and over a metre wide; users utilise the set from the
outside facing inwards. The layout was based on the principles of defensible
space architecture, and designed to create the optimal environment for learning
and enjoyment.
The mobile facility was used for training courses, exhibitions, festivals, etc - and was deployed anywhere a BT ISDN2 line is available, and the services available was tailored to meet individual requirements.
